Gobhanu is Co-Founder and CEO at Vela (YC W26), an AI scheduling assistant that autonomously handles complex meeting coordination for enterprise teams. He previously worked at BCG AI, Perplexity, and Deloitte. Vela is used by enterprise recruiters to schedule thousands of multi-party interviews weekly and by sales teams for cross-functional coordination. The AI agent negotiates across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and phone with white-glove service

Gobhanu left Wharton’s Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business to build Vela. He founded SWIFTmfi at age 14, a microfinance nonprofit that has disbursed over $400,000 in interest-free microloans to 3,200+ women across 77 countries. Through SWIFTmfi, Gobhanu impacted an estimated 70,000+ lives globally and launched SWIFTconnect, providing financial literacy education to 400+ people across Asia and Africa. The organization achieved a 98.75% loan recovery rate.

Gobhanu is a Diana Legacy Award recipient from Prince William and an Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholar. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and was a FinTech Fellow at the Stevens Center for Innovation in Finance.
